20. Scope of animation is quite limited in India, as we don’t have a history of animation.

    Animation never really picked up as a 2D art/entertainment.

    But with recent computer graphics, there’s a craze for animation. But that will only lead to low quality productions.

    There is no dearth of talented artists in India, but in India rendering for ads and campaigns have only really picked up. We still have a lot a lot to catch up.

    Without understanding the true dynamics of 2D animation, how could people do a commendable job in 3D life like Computer Generated Imagery (CGI). But people somehow enjoy regional cinema with mediocre CGI, so it could pick up quite well in the next 5 to 10 years.

    But we’ll never be close to Japan/US in animation industry, as the audience don’t really demand that kind of animation. Audience demand Khans and Kanth
