  2. You die a lot, and that is part of the game. But for the same reason, when your team was shot and you are the last in the compound and you manage to kill the other team and get your team back, that is the moment you feel better then in any other game. What you also should mention, there can be teams with max 3 players, but you can also play games with 2 player teams. And if you don't want to play solo against teams there is Quickplay, a battle royal mode whithout teams. And a new feature from the last patch, you can save inventories, if you always take the same stuff with you it is now only one klick to buy everything.

  3. I feel like one of the best parts of the game is it’s community.Hunt has proximity chat so you can say hello to your enemy’s before shooting them in the face. If you’re gonna get this game PLEASE have a mic it makes it so much more fun to solo q

  4. For people thinking about getting the game that don't have any friends they could play it with:

    Yes the game is definitely more enjoyable with friends and also a lot easier to get into. But the game has a relatively friendly community. It has grown over the last months so there is a douchebag every now and then but generally the community is very welcoming. You should totally join the official Hunt Showdown Discord and look for people to play with. Just say that you are new and people will be understanding. That's what I did and now I'm almost 600 hours into the game and it keeps on getting better.

  6. it is one of the best games, I've decided to buy it 2 months ago, wanted to buy it earlier, but did not have the time to play, it is special in every way, rewarding, fun, immersive, do no hesitate to play it!

  7. I never gelled with competitive FPS games until I discovered Hunt: Showdown. Learned about it in March, have played almost every night since. I can't get enough. It is such a wild and unique experience. Currently at 450 hours, I don't expect to stop any time soon.

  9. is a really good game but wish there was a PvE only server when i was playing some team would always ruin your boss kill and just wait for you to do the dirty work then they would pounce. it did reck the game for me especilly with adding perma kill. but to others it is a really well put together game they did great work on this tittle. i just want PvE 😉

  21. What a great review! I really like your calm style and I think you gave a good perspective of both pros/cons. I'm very intrigued about this game, but what concerns me is that I won't have much fun unless my friend is available to join me. I hope there's some fun to be had while playing solo as well.

  22. I appreciate your review and it's an honest "new to the game" analysis. More experienced players would move faster. A friend of mine says "make as little noise as you can but move as fast as you need."

  25. "A game of strong choices" is the perfect summation! I picked up this game less than 2 weeks ago when it was 60% off, after a couple of friends recommended it.

    I have to say, I'm not very "good" at FPS games on PC, but the slower gameplay and the ability to make those strong choices and approach engagements how YOU want to… that's the reason this game stands out for me. It's already my favourite shooter, because it allows for strategy, approach and decision making to be just as important as FPS skills. I adore the music, the audio experience, and the tension… And to learn this game as a new map was released is perfect timing.

    I would recommend this game to anyone looking for more from a shooter.

  28. As someone who has played this game for over 1,500 hours, I feel you gave this game some of the praise that most people miss. The visuals and sound mechanic, are truly unique. The combat is usually fast paced in the higher ELO ranks, and it usually gets my heart rate up to 150 bpm. This game is brutally punishing at times, but overall very rewarding.
    If you want to play solo, I highly recommend playing quick play. It’s a great way to try new weapons, unlock weapons for bounty missions, and have a more fast paced play style. Each round is timed, and only one hunter makes it out alive. If you do win the round, you get to keep this hunter and use them in bounty missions.
    I’m also more than happy to run a few rounds with you, if this is a game you see yourself playing and you’re looking for more people who play. 🙂

  29. Dont bother playing if you are on OCE servers. Every single game, all day, every day is empty. You may be lucky enough to have 2 or 3 other players in one server but that's very rare. The performance is awful and hit reg is very inconsistent. Before you listen to garbage reviews like this content go and check the player base count.

  31. Seems interesting, it's on sale NOW on steam for 20 euro's sooo worth a try! 40 euro's does seem steep tho, but your review convinced me. I am picking it up with a friend that luckily is good at figuring out builds and stuff. Otherwise the menu would've thrown me off bigtime.
