  8. The argument here has never been, (or should have never been) “will they change anything before releasing based on this trailer” it’s what they are showing now is the general direction and small improvement won’t fix the overall quality.

  10. i will admit, those 5 secs of footage actually look better. but man… idk lol. i just don't think it's gonna be worth 60 dollars. i guess i'll just wait for it to be released before i give my final verdict on these remakes.

  11. yeah its an improvement but that doesnt change the fact that this is extremely underwhelming compared to the other pokemon remakes

  12. hopefully the final product doesn't disapppoint, i'll most likely buy the game a few months after release due to SMT 5 releasing just a week before BDSP does

  13. Yes things will improve before release but for this type of game to be in such a state so close before release is pretty concerning.

  18. Ok i like the misty look it has to it really catching the vibe of the region. Still, I am to be showed more than the graphics to be conviced of a purchase. The chibi overworld and simplified navigation are still a huge holdback for me, and since the more toned down poses of the models i cannot be convinced of the charm remakes usually have in it of themselves. Credit where credit is due, the captured the aesthetic the characters should sport IN THE BATTLE MENU, however, there's clearly a LOT of work to be done to make it a proper remake. I'll keep in watch tho, hopefully these guys can give me some hope again for once.

  19. To be very fair "footage not final" is often more a PR move than an actual proof of anything consequential. A trailer is made to look appealing to the players. Often the assets shown in a trailer are the most polished ones they have.
    On top of that GameFreak specifically doesn't have a good track record of actually improving the graphics when people complain.

  20. When people were talking about how much they hated the way SwSh and BDSP looked, they were referring to issues that ran deeper than just a few touch ups. Game Freak is notoriously bad at making any MEANINGFUL changes prior to the release of the game.

  24. i didn't even realize the original games were trying to depict a sort of stand-off with the intro. the fact that they rotate now makes me even more excited. i feel like shiny reactions are gonna be really fun to watch for this game haha.

  26. there is only one thing i hope for the remakes, that they add a little bit more fire types, preferably vulpix/ninetales but if they dont show up then thats fine, but like can we at least have more then 2 fire types evo lines, even just 2 more new evo line tho of course will still play the remakes and like it
