EVE Online.. is definitely a slap in the face in terms of how easy MMORPGs are nowadays, and how accustomed we’ve come to being spoon-fed everything.

sorry for harsh comment btw and welcome to EVE Join Goonswarm Federation the only way to have fun in this game
WTF how dum can you be to not be able to follow a simple tutorial, and just so you know i started playing in 2006 and back then there was no actual tutorial so the you even got it easy out there
I know everyone has been through this but wow you are by far the most hardest to watch i honestly didn't think you were this bad.
Damn I didn't realize the tutorial had a overhaul, time to make another alt.
there only boobs! i live for boobs…=D for such a space game, you get a good character creation details….lmao. it is complex if you noob to space games. however i'm not and i played it before. lmao. i don't know why i got bored of eve online after a while….=D
So…..how are you two doing? Are you still on EVE Online?
maybe you should just have a walk through tutorial with someone but the basic parts you were doing should have been easy 😘
the comments tell a lot about the eve community
If you think this is complex, you should have tried it when they just handed you a ship and said "Have fun, and try and die with dignity…."
Just go to a low sec system, it'll get easier.
This is really hard to watch as someone who's played since '04 (; ・`д・´) This NPE actually makes it easier as far as i can tell haha but CCP had made attempts at simplifing the game over the years so it's a bit better than it was.in the past xD
Yeah Its supposed to be this hard. Be glad you played with the new NPE. The old one was like, here's a ship, have fun.
more Space ships!
Jeez man I thought the controls to this game were rather easy to grasp…. Guess not.
reminds me of my first days in eve , a fun and painfull learning cliff 🙂
keep with it once you get the hang it is simple , anf blowing your first player is awsome orfleet op join brave horde and big corp that is new been friendly
Geez, there goes the neighbourhood.
Welcome to EVE Online…she be a cruel mistress but a great game. Go Minmatar!
Haha.. Try Star Citizen it's more straight forward.
Watching you guys not know what you're doing is hilarious, I remember those days, doing everything wrong and feeling like a badass doing it, now I can watch this video and point out every single thing you do wrong, this game is quite the adventure unlike any other game, you shouldn't quit its an incredibly fun game :') o7
Your primary problem seems to have been not paying attention to what you were told to do, this makes sense as you went in thinking "this is just another mmo, we dont need the tutorial." hence when you were told "hey look at your item hold, see the only thing there? it heals you" you just clicked next without reading and were confused to what the next step told you to do. If you were to SLOW DOWN and look/listen to what is happening it is way simpler than it seems.
Ships= spellbooks/gear
Modules = spells/gear enchantments (sorta)
Skills = lvl in a class
anyone can be any class
any class can use any spell
some spells work best with certain gear and vice versa
to get gear you need to craft it or buy it
you can do quests for cash to buy from another player or npc
or you can gather the mats and recipie and make it yourself/to sell
or you can trade valuables for cash/item
your pve gear can also be used in pvp if you tweak your gear a bit
there are essentialy 2 damage dealing methods
Guns/lasers are one
missiles/bombs
guns have to phisicaly piont at you to hit you
missiles track you
guns do the most damage when they can move fast enough to keep pointing at you so you ORBIT to make them graze or miss you as much as possible
Missiles ALWAYS "hit" but both deal less raw dmg than guns and if you go fast enough you can outrun most the exploison and take less dmg
All weapons have sizes, big weapons hit big things better, small weapons hit small things better.
the real complexity comes from players minmaxing EVERY LITTLE THING and the politics of ginormous guilds(corps) when you deal with them.
TLDR: it IS a standard MMO where they let you do Whatever You Want, However you Want(without hacking).
"I'm getting ganged up on! This isn't fair!"
Welcome to eve.

I think people want more of this you two 😉
I spent some hours in EVE a long time ago before the new beginner experience was introduced and sad to say I've had more fun repairing a broken toaster. It is a beautiful game and well done, but "Let's play spreadsheet!!" did not thrill me…lol Keep up the good work and keep having fun guys:)
God Bless EVE Newbs, they are a riot to see play. Was I this bad when I started? lol They had no tutorial system even when I joined. Keep at it and you will get it. IT gets more fun the more you advance in this massive sandbox. SO much to do and to shoot and to manufacture, the list is endless. Stay out of 0.0 to 0.4 systems completely as a Newb, they are crazy dangerous and they will kill you fast in those systems. Good video.
Sent a little present your way to get you started. Don't spend it all in one place
Yes, Eve is supposed to be this hard. I've been playing for 7 years and I'm still learning. It is, however, the most rewarding gaming experience you'll ever have.
yes… you are very stupid unable to notice things or follow the most basic orders… when i started this game there were no tutorials at all… still could find my way… geez…
the tutorial is tip of the iceberg, but persist, the rewards are worth the effort. Welcome to EVE
Welcome to EVE Online. It seems you are having trouble. You are Gallente, you are in the west part of high security space, your faction's trade hub is Dodixie (or something, IDK), and your local pirate faction is the Serpentis Corporation. Remember firstly, that reading is important to the game, failing to read will be the end of you.
Firstly, your screen is like a desktop, everything on it can be resized and re-positioned to some extent, and have buttons to pin (stays through logging in and out), minimize, and close. Additionally, hovering over most icons will bring up a tooltip for it, with varying information, like the FULL NAME OF AN ITEM. Most items can also be right-clicked, which will show "Show info". This brings up a window containing all useful information on that item.
The status bubble is by default on the bottom center in space. It shows your shield, armor, and hull in a easy to view way (the three white, sometimes red arcs), the center shows your capacitor in a similar fashion, which is a form of energy used by most modules. On the left is all modules fitted to your ship, where they can be easily selected and manipulated. There are three "racks", high, medium, and low, which by default correspond to where the module is placed, but you may click and drag modules to any other slot if so desired. Each rack has a number of hotkeys for each module space assigned to it, high rack uses F1 to F8, medium uses ALT+F1 to ALT+F8 (Note: placing a module in the fourth medium slot might be a bad idea. Might.), and low uses CTRL+F1 to CTRL+F8. If a module does not need to be activated, it will not respond to attempts to activate it.
The three little lines near the status bubble is a button to control things like if passive modules (module does not need to be activated) appear on the list, if and how it should present hard numbers on your health, and when you are given warnings for your three types of health.
The most important window in space is the Overview. The overview lists all currently visible object brackets (icons on screen in space) in a compact list, and it's tabs can be set up to control what appears on the list, and consequently on the brackets. Using brackets as you were to select objects is not recommend, as only so many objects are visible at a time. The overview also always lists the name of the object, alongside some other information, like it's type, the corporation it belongs to, it's bracket icon, and it's velocity (the info available can be configured.). You should resize it to take up a fair amount of your screen, and use it to select targets. Overview packs are available to configure your overview to presets, which will help with minimizing useless info. Clicking on the attribute area ("name", "type", etc) lets you sort objects by that attribute, in both ascending and descending modes.
The selected object window shows you the object currently selected by you. It contains some information, alongside buttons for all possible activities that can be done with it. Keep in mind that, even if a bracket is not visible, the object can still be manually clicked on to bring up it's bracket instantly.
All objects within your targeting range can be targeted in space, which will display the object's name, alongside it's shield, armor, and structure in percentages. This will add it to the list of current targets, as long as your ship and your skills can support that many targets (the ship and it's equipment defines the hard limit). Targeting is required for modules that require a target, like turrets. When activating a targeted module, it will use your currently selected object as the target, as long as the selected object is also targeted. Clicking on the target's icon in the target list is an easy way to select objects you have targeted, as attempting to hunt them down in the overview may be… difficult in certain situations.

U need to use the overview much more.
You just didn't read what the tutorial had to say.
Not that I fault you too much. Most people think they can learn games just by going in and by starting to press buttons. Sadly few take the time to read what the adviser says.
You were fighting NPCs with missiles as their weapon system, so orbiting does nothing, but there are 3 other weapon systems, that are all affected by tracking, so orbiting does help in those situations. There is a lot to eve online, we have all been there no worries.
