The wait for Elden Ring continues, but do not go hollow, I will keep uploading DS3 pvp videos every day until Dark Souls 3 is no more. We will always be there to gank spank as long as there is any gankers left to destroy. DS3 2021!
I would like to thank all the Dark Souls 3 content creators for shaping up Dark Souls 3 to the game that it is today. Prod the funny, Chasethebro the great invader, FighterPl the parry king, Saintriot the meta hater, DangitJM the underrated, SunlightBlade the top 10, Peeve Peeverson the almighty, Oroboro the darkmoon blade sellswords, YukasLegion I ban him, VaatiVidya lore fix, LimitBreaker fun facts and my favorites BathedInBrena tournament host and iamamish the role model.
Just fix glitches and backstabs, give Greatswords their hyper armor back and there you go, EZ best PvP game in the series
Ds3 pvp will always be on top, this is a fact
It needs to be 6 players not 4
What about estus glitch?has it been fixed?
Don't mind people swapping out items I just think if they try to swap after staggering somone they should lose their chance to crit them
Bring back hyper armor for greatswords and ultras. I don't want to see a return to the DS3 fast weapon meta.
Beyond even Bloodborne's moveset detail I hope we'll get more combos and routes of rewarding difficult combo execution. E.g. having special hyper armour, damage types, or damage increases on certain combo attacks.
My expectations in general are high since they had the audacity to keep the ds3 animations.
It seems like we'll finally get back bloodborne's detailed movesets? Bloodborne's only PvP advantage compared to the Dark Souls trilogy is its superior movesets. I especially want depth in the motion value of different parts of an attack chain. So something as simple as spamming r1 has some depth in both lengthier attack chains but also variable motion values. I was extremely disappointed DS3 got rid of this.
Not that it takes much effort to improve the previous PvP systems, since they were disgraceful. As for now, there are still a lot to be changed, to the very roots of the combat mechanics.
One problem
Ganks
I wish they adding duals so if the invasions are just gangs I can play duals
The jump attacking I think is Going to be a little bet spam because it does a good damage and hard to punish
I don’t heat dual Wilde but I wish we could have som crazy to hand weapon like in ds 3
The invasion finger is good add but need to slow it use because it could be used as running way more than finding the host
watch mojo 9
Very good video i like it
Honestly, I'm half expecting invasion based pvp to die on arrival. Invaders will more often than not be at the numbers disadvantage due to only being able to invade gankers, And jump attacks existing. Jump attacks having iframes for alot of the animation, normally are only really punishable if only one guy is doing a jump attack. With invasions against like 3 people they can just spam jump attacks one after the other and make it a pain in the ass to counter without ranged moves.
It also looks like the meta is gonna get stale and will most likely be dominated by heavy builds. Light weapons that dont do super high damage per hit will have little reason to be used since the combat seems more poke based, and passive poise heavy armor heavy melee builds with lances and spears are better for poke based gameplay. And heavy spellcasters would probably be the only variation, Since stuff like beast claws do a shitton of damage, have amazing range, and you can poise through alot of attacks with passive poise.
Also they still need to fix estus cancelling and move swapping.
I truly hope ill be proven wrong but tbh this seems like the same story we've experienced at any souls games release.
1) some places will still be way better than the others for pvp n the community will agree on always using the same 3 places for pvp as its way more convenient
2) after a few days that ppl get used to em most of the attacks will result to be garbage n no one will keep usin em
3) ds2 had passive poise AND hyper armor yet its pvp was all but prosper
4) thats actually the most interesting feature to me n i do agree it will help provide build variety, tho i also do think once again it will turn out that like a really small number of em will be so much better than the other that it wont make sense to use any weapon art except those
5) it will be helpful but if u managed to get punished while menu swappin in other souls it meant u were retarded anyway
6) same as number 2 n 4
7) this list mainly focusses in the duelist part of pvp imho not in invasions as i think semi-competitive pvp is the only way to keep a game prosper, imho invadin pve lords over n over doesnt really make any souls game prosper
8) same as number 6
9) graphics has nothing to do with keepin a game prosper, at most it helps bringin ppl that go through a playtrough n will never start the game again.
Thats my opinion n again, i truly hope im bein wrong, but thise literally seems to be the same reasons that have created nonsense hype for all the other souls games releases just to turn out to be extremely wrong once the games came out
If the pvp is gonna be all over the place and chaotic like Bloodborne's they at least have to enable solo host invasions in some shape way or form
I don't want to wait 10 minutes for an invasion in a year after release just to be ganked by 3 sorcerers with medium shields infinitely jumping, and if that's gonna be the case at least let me invade a solo host who does the same but in 1 minute instead of 10 lmao
How is jumping balanced between armour types (like rolling is?)
I need to see utlras.
the ashes of war make u feel like a boss, literally
Passive poise and hyperarmour…
We back boys 🍻
Maybe at some point it will be a revamped Tarnish arena .
No more quick step cheesers, who can’t trade or don’t know about spacing and are just desperate for a win because they can’t accept the fact they’ve been clearly gapped in terms of skills.
what about the worse aspects or the ones to be imrpoved? Cheers
Using lances, as in couched lances, without a horse looks so dumb. Someone tell Miyazaki what a lance is…
Nah Bloodborne will always be the best souls game
As much as I prefer coming up against gankers in DS3, only making it so you can invade gankers/co-opers largely hinders PvP and may kill the longevity
Bro it already is
Glad to see the lance is exactly as cancerous as I expected it to be, with it hitting enemies 2+ feet away from it (horizontally, vertically, or length-wise). 4:47 in particular.
I imagine it might be easier to parry though than certain other weapons, which might be a small comfort.
With that being said, I'm looking forward to the PvP in this game myself. I mainly just hope that they fix the known major bugs and exploits.
No this is dumb, good pvp games are balanced, Invasions are not, and that's perfectly fine, they're not supposed to be. In fact considering the requirements for invasions, it's probably going to be one of the worst Souls games for pvp to date. That's ok too, because it might end up being the most fun.
Stop jumping around abusing the exploit jesus
This pvp looks exactly how I thought it looked. Quite ridiculous. It’s nice that there’s jumping into the mix. But it’s just pokes and jumps now. Also don’t know why they chose to keep the new poise bar system hidden. Seems like something you would want to know how close is to breaking. Especially in Pvp.
personally… with backstabs and parrying seeming to be much harder to pull off reliable, the game during CNT was for me way more enjoyable when it came to pvp related activities…
while i spend quiet some time on all the games multiplayer content invasions and cooping etc i never found the whole backstab fishing or parry spaming part very enjoyable, with way too many ppl relaying on that to do big dmg and move one, to me at least that was always kinda cheapening the experience.
ultimately this kind of stuff will evtl happen in one way or another in this game too, das just the circle of life, but ya the more casual pvp experience is way more enjoyable then the hardcore pro cheese strats approaches…. hmm.
At this point I really don't think a return to DS3 backstabs will be necessary to make this the best soulsbourne PvP game. Fixing the glitches that carried over from ds3 will be far more important. This game has given us several ways to deal with parry spam, and that's with us only seeing a tiny fraction of the game so far. I don't think anybody can make a serious claim that the new backstab mechanics will ruin PvP experience, especially this early on.
One reason why Elden Ring pvp will suck:
I don't get funny I-frames on my backsteps.
Bruh the weapon variety and all the new moves got me so hype. Might just say screw it and go for a shield only run. Cause why the hell not. Everything’s viable now
Backstabs are fine, if anything DS3 backstabs are fucked up with all the snapping in place that goes on. ER backstabs are the logical conclusion of what they've been doing with them for each game.
Your PVP videos are making the wait feel even longer, I can't wait to play this badboy
Cool music
Yes a very good video to start the day off 🙌 👏 👌
My guy sounds like he's reading a PowerPoint presentation for his high school class LOL
