Great video as always guys, did Remedy "remedy" the stutters and other issues you found and shared with them? Excited to try this on the XSX as the game just went on sale, 60% off

  2. Filben says:

Great video. FPS dips should now, with VRR, not as bad as they're used to be.

  3. Ryan Kitchen says:

Were the Xbox stutters ever fixed via a patch?

  4. Petr Lazar says:
    June 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

It's on sale right for Xbox, 12 USD or something like that.

It might be ironic to say such a thing since I bought it, but I am weirdly not disappointed in purchasing the ultimate edition on Series X at 13 dollars. I say weirdly because I would generally be quite disappointed considering I feel this is more or less merely a jump to 60fps over the Xbox One X version I went through, but the 60fps is enough of an improvement (alongside loading times to get into the game and of the map) that it helps me appreciate and enjoy the game slightly more. I also bought Alan Wake Remaster, and now these games feel a lot more alike than ever before, and that's good. Honestly, Control disappointed me. My favorite parts were just when anything surrounding Alan Wake was mentioned. Ahti and some of the Old House stuff were interesting, but ultimately I felt Jesse's journey/story was underwhelming, the characters were uninteresting and their robotic animations made it worse; the music wasn't doing it for me, and the gunplay was just decent. Now, my feelings are a bit warmer on it in some respects. Oh and I don't care for the ray tracing enough to sacrifice frame rate. Since this video and its release, they have fixed the stutter issues and added HDR support which works similar to auto-HDR, so the brightness slider should stay at default.

How did the Xbox load faster with a slower SSD?

  7. Robert says:

04:32 What is the stutter in the gameplay on the right? (Series X Graphics Mode). And why is it not mentioned/explained?

  8. Hamza Fatine says:

No matter how good a game looks, 30 fps is not enough anymore. I got a ps5 just for the exclusives (horizon, god of war, etc) since PC have Xbox Exclusives, but yeah most of my games are on PC. So I am kinda spoiled on the 100fps+ all the time that's why anything below 60fps feels off to me. I hope devs give more options in games on modern consoles, I mean you have 8K and 4k120 printed on the box and yet you still doing upscaled [email protected] for RT modes ? come on.

I get an error on series x for this game. Game doesn’t start up. I’ve installed the base game and two dlcs.

  10. Howard Mueller says:
    June 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

After 60fps, 30fps just feels like a slide show. Ray tracing is not ready for prime time on consoles. Not worth the sacrifice on performance.

  11. Andreas Ojdanic says:
    June 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

Issue in series x is asset streaming in memory as dx operates in a quick momentum that overloads cpu in that moment hen tries max data load and bandwidth cannot load it so it falls under normal transfer load ps5 has better bandwidth.

  12. TheMasterChiefBR says:

Lazy job by Remedy in the Series S version

  13. KAKA GAMERZONE says:
    June 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

Series S can run at 1080p… 900p was because a Bad Optimization, same thing the 1440p on Ps5/XSX, they could run at 2160p

  14. robert haibi says:
    June 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

Both of these new consoles crushed it this generation. Really can't go wrong with either. Admittedly Sony still has the better exclusives but the Xbox definitely has some amazing features like gamepass and quick resume. Currently gaming on the Series X (as a traditionally a PS loyalist) because it was easier to find. Definitely not regretting it although I will pick up a PS5 when I can.

How does the Ray Tracing in Control on PS5/X compare to RT on PC?

  17. AJ Rodríguez says:
    June 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

We need this version in gamepass. The another 30fps is too bad.

i wish they did a test, Xbox Series S vs PC!! i really wana see the Series S compare to a PC!!!

I was probably towards the middle-end on the PS4 version but stopped playing cause I got busy. Was lucky enough to snag a PS5 a few days ago and couldn't wait to resume with the upgrade… Only to find out I can't transfer my save file. 😩 I guess I'll just have to start over, which kinda sucks cause my time is a bit restricted and I have so much to catch up on already

  20. Harry R says:
    June 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

These 'next gen' consoles can only do basic ray tracing at 30fps? Not so next-gen in my book and just not worth it. FPS is king.

  21. Dr Vagax says:
    June 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

3:25 the difference between XSX and PS5 is pretty noticable in textures, look at the facial details

  22. parwitch says:
    June 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

Too bad, none of them have option for 1080p + 60fps + Raytracing.

  23. ridler237 says:
    June 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

I'm not seeing the graphics and performance modes in my display settings in game……why?

  24. Pyke says:
    June 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

One aspect that sucks in this "new generation" of consoles is have to choose between ray tracing or 60FPS. You can't choose both. I hope future releases at least let the players play at 1080p 60FPS with Ray tracing…..

  25. Slimmy Raw says:
    June 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

Idk if you mentioned it, but on Series S there is a lot of textures and mainly the signs that take a min to load in, sometimes not at all until you get right up to it and aim on it. This could use some touch up as well.

  26. Fort Worth Raised says:

My first time playing Control was last night on the Series X in Graphics mode. And it looks so lifelike

  27. Mattx28025 says:
    June 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

Ray tracing is pretty, but 60fps makes this game so much better. I can't go back to 30fps.

I’m curious to know how the launch Xbox One version disc will perform on a Series X vs the ultimate next gen upgrades? I’m guessing its on par with the One X? Is there any performance or graphics increase automatically or is it stuck and you have to buy the ultimate next gen version to get those features?

  32. Andre VJ says:
    June 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

can you make a video of game filter since I don't see anyone use it but is super useful.

  33. Andre VJ says:

on RTX 2060 super with DLSS performance at 1440p looks insanely Awesome to me. Its 720p upscaled to 1440p where I'm Getting above 60fps with VSync off with max settings and ray traced reflections And transparent ray traced reflections on.Using only those since for me raytraced global ilumination and ray traced shadows is not as easy to see difference as reflections since the normal backed in versions is good enough. I capped my framerate at 50fps since my tv is 4k 50hrz and using image sharpening to make it look more sharp like 4k. graphics card gets utilized at 77% max. Really awesome game.

  34. Draynged says:
    June 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

One last thing to note incase anyone was watching and wondering, and that is that the stutter issue has been dealt with!

  35. Draynged says:
    June 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

Plus the game lineup for the 2 systems the Series X has way better titles coming than the PS5….

  36. Draynged says:
    June 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

Regardless of all these technical aspects, and of course RT none of that matters to me when I can pay $15 a month for a game pass! I ordered a PS5 at first, but when I found out they don't have anything like a game pass on their system I quickly canceled my order and got the Series X… That is just me, but it is hard to compete with that when it comes down to it!

Does anybody know if this was patched for Xbox? I didn't notice any stuttering and after watching this video I played it for about an hour and I didn't notice a single thing

  38. Daniel P.T says:

Are you playing with hdr on or off? 😊

  39. Divjot Singh says:
    June 6, 2022 at 2:12 am

Was the stuttering bug ever fixed on XSX, was deciding whether it's worth buying Ultimate Edition given how standard is already on GamePass.

Series s cant even do ray tracing. Metro exodus was horrible. Why even make this console. Its all a mental thing, u think u bought a "next gen"
