  17. TL,DR: Relax, be noob, have fun. Being a good player requires being a happy noob. You can pick up the technique anytime. Don't let a thick instructions guide intimidate you. It's not a license to play and enjoy the game anyway.

    I liked this video and I believe I will watch it a few more times to learn it well. But I believe the most important thing to be good in the game, even more important than knowing it well, is to enjoy it. If you get into the technical stuff so much that you lose the enjoyment, you will eventually stop playing and knowing technique will not help you at all.

    Be noob, play stupidly, and just enjoy. If you get good enough to make controlled moves after spending hours, you can learn technique at that point. It's not forbidden to play without knowing the game.

    I'm talking from experience. I know many things in AoE2. I like watching the game from streamers. But when I tried to play, I couldn't stop myself from trying to play fast and apply technique and I got intimidated. Then I couldn't take it anymore and stop playing it. I could just be a total noob and just cut staggler trees and make mining camps centered between gold and stone. I would have fun with my fellow 300-400 ELO opponents. But I couldn't even play 20 ranked games.

    I have like 12 hours or something in Brawlhalla now. I didn't even watch a single tutorial up to this point, I started the game as a complete ignorant who thought the game wasn't going to be to my taste and I discovered most of the things by trying and observing. This is the fun way. Pros look so good and I see how weak I am even when I face a cannon or scythe easy bot. I'm a little below 1k 1v1 ELO.

    People are telling me "learn this combo" and "learn that combo" in the chat all the time. But I'm just recently starting to stop randomly pressing keys and making controlled moves instead. Making a simple dlight+sair is out of question for me in an actual match because I will already be pressing something unrelated before completing the dlight. I do accidental combos and learn combos that way.

  33. I just started playing, all i know is that i press random fucking buttons, and still manage to kick players off the border pretty frequently, well i get in the first/second position often but still, smash or not I just had a blast playing it, funny as hell
